no path
no path on bone marrow sent in. apparently it was not affecting his bone and therefore they (he) did not think a bone marrow path needed to be done. Well lets hope so , because to do one now would be to put buddy under again and this poor dog has had enough stress for now as far as i am concerned. Not the happiest gal right now . I knew it is all i can say.
Hi Buddy’s mom,
So are you saying that Buddy did not have ANY pathology to comfirm his cancer diagnosis before, during, or after his amputation? What exactly was Buddy’s diagnosis? I know you said it was cancer, but was that ever confirmed?
I think I may have missed that post… I totally understand your frustration though, either way… I’m just so mad at the world these days… 🙁

jakesmom on 12.04.09 @ 3:21 pmHi Buddy’s Mom,
Mackenzie's Mom on 12.04.09 @ 8:37 pmAre they going to do a biopsy on Buddy’s leg that was amputated? When our dog’s leg was amputated, they did another biopsy on the leg that was removed after her surgery. At the time, I wasn’t sure why but it gives them more information on the cancer itself. Best of luck to you and hope Buddy continues on a path of good recovery. Amputation can be so difficult during the initial recovery process and then all of a sudden, things seem to completely turn around for the better. Mackenzie’s Mom
Hi Buddy’s Mom,
Opie on 12.04.09 @ 10:55 pmI understand your relationship with your friend the vet…really I do…been there. Buddy is your dog and if you want pathology, tell him. This is no time to try to spare feelings. Too much is at stake. If it is too late, however and a new biopsy would be needed meaning Buddy would have to be put under again and experience more pain, I don’t blame you if you want to refuse that. It is all about Buddy now.
How is he doing? Can you post some photos?
